Board of Directors of Dacia-LADA Business unit was appointed

Renault Group has appointed the Board of Directors of the new Dacia-LADA business unit. The decisions made are aimed at strengthening the connection between brands.

For example, Denis Le Vot, who has held senior positions in Nissan and the Renault group, will become CEO of both brands. Yves Caracatzanis, who has held this post since June 2018, will remain the President of AVTOVAZ. Alejandro Messonero has been appointed the director of design for Dacia-LADA: he was previously the design manager of Spanish Volkswagen SEAT group, when the current head of Renault, Luca De Meo, served as the CEO.

Other key figures on the Dacia-LADA Division Board of Directors: Sales and Marketing Director Xavier Martinet (former CEO of Nissan North America (in 2020) and Marketing Director of the Renault Group), Technical Manager Mark Seuss (formerly Director of Renault's Global Access Program), Purchasing Manager Antoine Gatinol (formerly Managing Director and Head of Purchasing in the Renault group and the Renault-Nissan alliance).

As a reminder, in January 2021, Renault Group, within the framework of the new strategic plan Renaulution, created a new business unit Dacia-LADA, which will strengthen the production synergies between brands by using the highly competitive and flexible CMF-B platform in combination with the most high localization rate. AVTOVAZ and Dacia will remain separate companies with their own history and strategy, which together will produce more than 1 million vehicles on the basis of CMF-B annually, moving from 4 platforms to one and reducing the number of body types from 18 to 11.

By 2025, AVTOVAZ will launch to the market four new LADA models, which will be based on the CMF-B platform. So, for 2023, the release of two B-class models is planned: according to unofficial data, we are talking about a new generation of LADA Granta in sedan and station wagon bodies. In 2024, a new generation of the Niva SUV will appear that will receive two versions - with a compact and an extended wheelbase. The new Niva will be exported and will appear, in particular, in the markets of Europe and Latin America. And in 2025, a new car of the C-SUV segment will appear in the LADA model range.
