Haval brought two new SUVs to Russia


Haval is preparing to launch two new off-road vehicles BigDog and WeyTank in the Russian market, which were presented at a recent dealer conference in Sochi. Both models are planned for production at the Tula plant Haval approximately in 2023. Officially, the Russian representative office of Haval does not comment on product plans.

The frame SUV WeyTank 300 is built on the GW P01 platform, which also used for the new Haval H9. The model in its dimensions corresponds to the domestic UAZ "Patriot": the length, width and height are 4760, 1930 and 1927 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2750 mm. The ground clearance is 224 mm. Under the bonnet of the WeyTank 300 there is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 227 hp, which works in conjunction with an 8-speed "automatic" ZF and a part-time all-wheel drive system.

HavalBigDog is similar to the Tank in retro styling, but smaller - 4620 x 1890 x 1780 mm with a wheelbase of 2738 mm. The engine range of the model includes a 1.5T engine (169 hp) paired with a 7DCT "robot", as well as a 2.0-liter unit with 211 hp. The car has a four-wheel drive and a forced locking of the rear differential.

Recall that today Haval model range in the Russian market includes F7 and F7x crossovers and H5 and H9 frame SUVs, which are produced at the company's plant in the Tula region. Earlier, the company also began the production of the new compact crossover Haval Jolion, which will go on sale in late spring of 2021. In general, for the next three years, Haval plans to present five new models in the Russian market.
