KIA announced prices and equipment for the new Carnival crossover

KIA Motors Russia & CIS has announced the prices and configurations of the new KIA Carnival crossover, the sales of which will begin on April 14th. The novelty will be available in seven- and eight-seat versions, in five trim levels at a price from 2 million 599 thousand 900 rubles to 3 million 579 thousand 900 rubles, according to the press service of the Korean brand.

There are two variants of engines of the Smartstream line for the cross-van in the Russian market - a diesel engine with a working volume of 2.2 liters and a maximum power of 199 hp and a 3.5-liter V6 petrol with MPI multipoint injection (Prestige, Premium and Premium + trim levels) with a maximum output of 249 hp. Both engine options are aggregated with an 8-speed automatic transmission. In all versions, KIA Carnival crossover has a front axle drive; the ground clearance is 182 mm.

The basic Comfort version includes LED headlights, an 8-inch infotainment system, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors and 17-inch wheels. In compare with the predecessor, the overall length of the new Carnival has increased by 40 mm (up to 5155 mm), the rear overhang - by 30 mm (up to 1130 mm), which made it possible to provide more space for rear passengers while maintaining the best-in-class luggage compartment volume. In terms of the exterior of the new Carnival, the front end features by the classic KIA tigernose radiator closer, combined with high-tech headlights. When looking at the car from the side, a pronounced "waist" line is striking, stretching along the length of the body and connecting the headlights and taillights.

The roof pillar behind the rear doors is made in the form of a characteristic "fin", and its chrome coating also passes into a wide strip that encircles the entire stern. The salon received a panoramic touchscreen display with tactile feedback in the center of the dashboard, as well as a thoughtful layout and a comfortable fit on three or even four rows of seats.
