UAZ «Profi» received a new version with a carrying capacity of 1.5 tons


Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant presented a new version of the light commercial truck UAZ "Profi" with a carrying capacity of 1.5 tons. The cost of new items is from 980 thousand rubles, according to the press service of the automaker. The modification, which has received the official name "Polutorka", replaces the previous mono-drive version "Profi" in the brand's model line.

The scheme with single-tire tires of the rear axle wheels, as the most effective for cars with all-wheel drive, will remain for 4x4 versions. The car is still equipped with a 2.7-liter (149.6 hp) ZMZ petrol engine in combination with a Dymos 5-speed manual gearbox. With the same overall dimensions, the "Profi" in the version of the "Polutorka" received a wheelbase increased by 30 mm (3530 mm), as well as a front wheel track widened by 48 mm (1648 mm).

On the frame of two U-shaped profiles, 140 mm high and 3.5 mm thick, rigidly welded to each other, new suspension mounts are mounted, including stabilizers with struts and shock absorbers. Springs with an increased deflection boom and a track widened by 50 mm reduce the subsidence of the "Profi" stern when loaded. The ventilated disc rear brakes, which the "Polutorka" is equipped with as standard, increase the deceleration efficiency.
