Volvo will develop online sales and car subscriptions in 2021


At a recent press conference for journalists, top managers of VolvoCarRussia shared their strategic development plans for 2021. Thus, the company's commercial director Alexei Tarasov said that globally Volvo has three main vectors of direction - growth, electrification and online car sales, and locally in Russia - it was decided to focus on online car sales “together with dealers, with the delivery of cars through dealers”.

To develop online sales by the middle of the year, VolvoCarRussia plans to launch a local block on the official website, where the client will have the opportunity to choose a car, register it, purchase and receive it through a dealership.

The new CEO of VolvoCarRussia, Wim Maes, focused on the tasks of developing another direction - car subscriptions. Recall that Volvo was among the pioneers who began to develop this direction in Russia. Mr. Maes cited the following figures: last year, at the start of this program, the number of users was 200, but in January 2021 their number doubled and continues to grow. Obviously, this is a long term trend with a great potential.
