Suzuki sold 160 thousand Vitara crossovers in Russia

Suzuki Motor Rus has sold 160 thousand Vitara crossovers of all generations in Russia since the model entered the Russian market in 1998. Over the years, the car has become the brand's bestseller and has undergone a number of updates, according to Suzuki's press office.

So, in July 2015, the premiere of the fourth generation of the model took place, and in February 2019, the updated Vitara with improved interior and exterior entered the Russian market. Recall that in Russia Vitara compact crossover is presented in both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive versions. The engine range of the model includes a 1.6 VVT engine with a return of 117 hp and a turbocharged Boosterjet with 140 hp. Both engines are paired with an automatic 6-speed Aisin gearbox, and a 5-speed manual transmission is also available.

The car has a ground clearance of 185 mm and is equipped with an all-wheel drive AllGripSelect with 4 modes. Prices for Suzuki Vitara, presented in three trim levels, start at 1 million 429 thousand rubles. The GL comes standard with 7 airbags, a USB port and Hill Start Assist. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in 2021 Suzuki will present a new special version of Suzuki Vitara crossover in the Russian market. No other novelties from Suzuki are planned for our country this year.
