    As experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT have established, in Russia the ratio between sales of new and used cars is 1: 3.3. In other words, there are 10 used cars per 3 purchased new cars this year.



In 2020, the market of new LCVs fell by 7% in Russia

According to the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, in 2020 the volume of the light commercial vehicle market in Russia was 104.3 thousand units. This is lower by 7% than in 2019. Thus, the LCV market in our country showed a drop for the first time for the last 5 years, starting in 2016.

The leader in this market is still the domestic brand GAZ, the share of which was 43% of the total volume of new sold LCV in the previous year. In quantitative terms, this is 44.5 thousand units, which is lower by 12% than in 2019.

The second place in the rating is occupied by UAZ with the result of 14.5 thousand units, which also showed a drop in the previous year (-16%). The third place was taken by the American Ford, the market volume of which was 14 thousand cars (+ 7.5%). Domestic LADA (12.6 thousand units; + 14%) and German Volkswagen (4.1 thousand units; -28%) also entered the top of five brands-leaders of the Russian LCV market in 2020.

Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" also noted that by the end of December 2020, the volume of the market of light commercial vehicles in our country fell by 4% to 12.9 thousand units.
