Moscow and St. Petersburg remain the largest used car markets among all Russian cities. But if in the capital of the country the secondary market shows a decline, then in St. Petersburg its growth is observed. So, according to the agency "AUTOSTAT", for 11 months of 2020, the market of used cars in Moscow decreased by 1.8% and in St. Petersburg during the same period it grew by 4.2%.

If we consider 25 Russian cities in terms of the volume of the secondary market, then, in addition to the capital, a drop is observed in five more cities: Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Ufa and Nizhny Novgorod. At the same time, only in the last of them the market fell more (-3%) than in Moscow.

In other 19 cities, the used car market is growing. Moreover, in four of them its growth was even higher than in the Northern capital: Irkutsk (+ 4.5%), Tolyatti (+ 5.6%), Perm (+ 5.8%), Kazan (+ 7%).
