Jeep Cherokee left the Russian market

Jeep brand has stopped the sales of Cherokee crossover in Russia - this model has disappeared from the official line on the manufacturer's website. According to the Autonews.ru portal, the certificate for Jeep Cherokee is valid until the end of summer of 2021, but dealers have run out of such cars, and Jeep no longer plans to order this model from America. Recall that Cherokee was offered in the Russian market with gasoline engines of 2.4 and 3.2 liters, and prices for the model ranged from 2.3 million rubles for the front-wheel drive version to 3.4 million rubles for the top-modification Overland.

In recent years, Cherokee has sold worse than other models of the brand - in six years Jeep has sold only 2.4 thousand crossovers of the latest generation in our country. Thus, now the Jeep model range in Russia consists of four models - Renegade, Compass, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler. However, the company plans to bring three new products to the Russian market soon. So, from January of 2021, Russian Jeep dealers will begin the accepting of orders for a special Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition, released in honor of the brand's 80th anniversary, and such cars will appear in showrooms in the second quarter of 2021. In addition, in the fourth quarter of 2021, a completely new generation of Jeep Grand Cherokee will be presented in the Russian market, as well as an updated Jeep Compass (deep modernization of the exterior / interior and new engines). At the end of 11 months of 2020, Russian Jeep dealers sold 1,477 SUVs, which is lower by 11% than the previous year. The most popular Jeep model in Russia is Grand Cherokee full-size SUV.
