Dealers told whether to expect discounts on cars in December


As you know, December is traditionally a period of sales of cars of the outgoing year, when dealers offer the greatest discounts. However, in the conditions of the continuing deficit in the car market, it is not necessary to count on a discount today.

According to Andrey Olkhovsky, General Director of AVTODOM Group of Companies, customers should not count on big discounts this year, because the demand for the most liquid and popular models greatly exceeds the supply. A more pressing question today is the availability of a car in the desired configuration and in the selected color. If for some brands the dealers will have a pool of cars delivered to their warehouses at “old” prices, then additional benefits for customers are possible, but these will be several proposals. “We are not expecting a total sale this December as vehicle availability is still limited in many brands. Nevertheless, the terms of the deal are always individual and discussed with each buyer. The basis for the provision of special conditions for the purchase can be, for example, a loan or the delivery of a previous car to trade-in,” says Vitaly Shonia, Marketing Director of ROLF.

According to Ruslan Abdulnasyrov, the owner of the federal network of auto centers selling used cars AVTOSET.RF, despite the current market situation and a shortage of cars, car manufacturers do not forget about customers and make good marketing campaigns. For example, when buying KIA Rio cars, you can get winter tires + CASCO policy as a gift. “Of course, as a dealer, we always try to find the best solution for the client, and in the current situation we advise not to postpone the purchase. There is definitely no need to wait for discounts; the time for a car buying at an attractive price is rapidly running out. We expect prices to rise in the future, according to our estimates - from 3% to 10% depending on the brand,” says Yulia Ovchinnikova, Development and Innovation Director of KLYUCHAVTO.
