Import of passenger cars fell by 32% for 9 months

Imports of passenger cars to Russia fell by 31.6% to 153.4 thousand cars for the first nine months of 2020. According to the data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, in the reporting period, cars were imported to Russia for 3 billion 429.4 million dollars. At the same time, 23.5 thousand cars worth $ 493.1 million were imported in September (+ 26.2% against August). The import of trucks in January-September fell by 29.2% to 14.9 thousand vehicles worth $ 772.2 million. Among them, 2.5 thousand trucks (+ 17.4% against August) worth $ 124.4 million were delivered to our country in September.
