The average size of a car loan in the Russian Federation has exceeded a record level

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, the average size of a car loan in Russia was 843.3 thousand rubles. This is higher by 11.5% than in the 2nd quarter (756.7 thousand rubles). In addition, as noted in the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH), the achieved result even slightly exceeded the record set in the 4th quarter of 2019 (842.6 thousand rubles).

The largest average size of a car loan in July - September this year was recorded in Moscow (1,271.3 thousand rubles). In three other regions of the Russian Federation, it turns out to be above the mark of 1 million rubles. So, in the Moscow region this figure is 1,048.9 thousand rubles, and in St. Petersburg - 1,029.9 thousand rubles. Among the non-capital regions in terms of the average size of a car loan, the Krasnodar Territory is the leader (932.5 thousand rubles), followed by the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (925.2 thousand rubles).
