Corporate purchases of cars came out "in plus" in September, the first time for six months


According to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, in September of 2020, corporate clients (legal entities) in Russia purchased about 20 thousand new cars, which is higher by 2% than a year ago. Positive dynamics in this segment was recorded for the first time in the last 6 months. Recall the last time it happened in March (+ 8%). Agency experts note that the share of legal entities in September was almost 15% of the total number of purchased cars.

The most popular here was the domestic brand LADA, the figure of which was 3,050 units – higher by 18% than in September 2019. The second place is occupied by German Volkswagen (2328 units; -10%), the third - by Korean KIA (2109 units; -14%). Japanese Toyota (1,617 units; -1%) and Czech Skoda (1379 units; + 14%) also fall into the top five. In the model structure of corporate purchases, the leadership was occupied by Volkswagen Polo - in September, legal entities purchased 1566 units of this model (-15%). LADA Largus is the second one with the result of 1136 units (+ 17%). Then KIA Rio (966 units; + 10%), Toyota Camry (751 units; + 8%) and Skoda Rapid (664 units; + 131%) follow. Despite the September growth, car purchases of legal entities are still “in the red” for 9 months of this year. So, during this period, their volume was about 142 thousand units – lower by 16% than in January - September of 2019.
