Russian Volvo dealers sold 773 cars in July, which is higher by 54.3% than in the same period of the previous year. At the end of seven months of 2020, Volvo sales reached 3,290 cars – lower by 25.5% than in January-July of the previous year.
According to the press service of VolvoCarRussia, the most popular model in the Russian market is still the mid-size crossover XC60 - 304 units of this model were sold in the previous month (+ 74%). The second result in terms of sales was shown by the full-size crossover XC90, which was chosen by 218 buyers (+ 88%). The compact urban crossover XC40 finished the top-3 of Volvo leaders with a result of 155 sold cars (+ 18%).
In addition, sales of Volvo models with the T8 TwinEngine hybrid powertrain grew in the Russian market. In June - July, 22 Volvo XC90 RechargePlug-in Hybrid T8 cars were sold - it was due to the availability of this model through the VolvoCarDrive subscription service. At the same time, 34 hybrid cars have been sold since the beginning of the year.
