GAZ medical vehicles are presented at a specialized forum

GAZ Group, the largest manufacturer of medical and social vehicles in Russia, presented new models of transport that make the work of doctors more comfortable in the framework of the forum “Health of the Nation - the Basis of Russia's Prosperity” held in Moscow.

One of the key novelties presented at the exhibition was the modular ambulance vehicle (MAV) "GAZelle NEXT". It is a GAZelle NEXT chassis on which a special medical superstructure is installed. Unlike the traditional MAV model, which is based on all-metal vans and minibuses, the modular design allows, if necessary, to remove easily the medical superstructure (module) and replace it with another one for household purposes (for example, a manufactured goods or an isothermal van), or vice versa - to put medical module to another chassis.

This approach makes it easy to reduce or increase the fleet of medical vehicles, depending on the epidemiological situation. If the base chassis is worn out as a result of intensive operation, the module with expensive medical equipment can be completely transferred to a new chassis, which will significantly reduce the cost of renewing the ambulance fleet. A large amount of free space and strictly rectangular, without narrowing in the upper part, the shape of the cabin allows you to place freely a wide range of medical equipment and increases the comfort of doctors. At the same time, two patients can be accommodated in the salon at once.

In addition to the MAV based on the chassis, it was presented an MAV based on the GAZelle NEXT bus in the exhibition, which is designed to transport patients over long distances. The peculiarity of this vehicle is the increased size of the cabin, which allows a working space organizing with swivel chairs for medical workers, ensuring the convenience of work with the patient and safe accommodation of personnel while driving.

Among the developments of GAZ Group there is a mobile medical center based on the GAZelle NEXT bus, which can be used for mass on-site vaccinations, medical examinations, on-site diagnostics and other medical events. In addition to medical equipment and furniture, the vehicle is equipped with autonomous life support systems, a generator and a built-in bathroom. In addition, there is a possibility of connecting an additional trailer module, which will house the second medical office. For the treatment of patients in remote areas of the country, a class C MAV with a telecommunications complex was developed. The vehicle is equipped with a set of cameras, monitors and high-speed communication systems, which allows you to organize remote consultation of the medical team by specialists directly during the examination of the patient or medical procedures.
