Car owners told how the cost of a car maintaining will grow


For a half of year, the market of luxury cars fell by 20% in Russia


According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", the volume of the Russian market of new cars of the Luxury segment for 6 months of 2020 reached 532 units. This is lower by 20% than the result of a year ago (666 units). Note that three brands out of seven (which we traditionally refer to the luxury segment) showed the growth: Ferrari (+ 21% to 17 units), Lamborghini (+ 12% increased to 77 units), Rolls-Royce (+ 3% up to 79 units).

Accordingly, the remaining brands went negative: Maserati (-46% to 37 units), Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class (-29% to 179 units), Aston Martin (-29% to 5 units), Bentley (-23% up to 138 units). Despite a significant market decline, the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class remains the most popular model in the Luxury segment. So, according to the results of January - June, its share reached more than a third of this market (34%). Two Bentley models - Continental GT (77 units) and Bentayga (61 units) - are in the top-3.

60% of new luxury cars during the reporting period were purchased by residents of Moscow, which is equivalent to 320 units. Other 50 luxury cars were registered in the Moscow region. St. Petersburg added 49 new cars to its luxury fleet. Krasnodar Territory has traditionally distinguished itself in its love of expensive cars among non-capital regions: 25 such cars were purchased there. Sverdlovsk region (10 units) finished the top -5 of leaders among the subjects of the Russian Federation.
