For the first half of 2020, the average premium for CTP insurance remained practically at the same level as a year before and reached 5,398 rubles. At the same time, the average premium became less for a half of the CTP insurers, and it became 3.6% lower by the collection rate at the leader. The average payment continued to grow, increasing for the same period by 5.2%, from 66,746 to 70,227 rubles, the press service of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RSA) reported.

The number of concluded contracts in the first half of 2020 fell by 1.3% in compare with the same period of the previous year, from 19.38 to 19.13 million units. As the president of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RUAI) Igor Yurgens explained, in June the number of concluded contracts increased by 4.3%, while during the period of quarantine restrictions it was expected to decrease in compare with the same period of the previous year. “Now we see a deferred demand for CTP insurance and the dynamics of the number of concluded agreements is leveling off,” said the RUAI President.
