Nissan reduced sales by 22% in Russia in June


Russian Nissan dealers sold 4,267 vehicles in June, which is lower by 22% than a year before. At the end of six months of 2020, 25,745 Nissan vehicles were sold in Russia, which is lower by 18% less than in the same period of the previous year. As a result, Nissan ranked the eighth in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the brand's market share was 4.0% versus 3.8% a year before, according to the AEB.

Nissan's bestseller in the Russian market in June was Nissan Qashqai crossover, sales of which decreased by 24% to 1,583 units. The second place was occupied by Nissan X-Trail with 1,546 sold cars, which is lower by 4% than a year ago. As AUTOSTAT reported earlier, Nissan announced its intention to restructure its business in Russia and renew completely its model line in the next four years. The focus will be on model upgrades in the B-SUV, C-SUV and D-SUV segments. New models will be introduced to the market, as well as updated versions of Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano crossovers already presented in the Russian line of Nissan. In addition, for the first time, Nissan will present its new product in the electric vehicle segment in the Russian market. Earlier, the company did not rule out the possibility of launching the electric coupe-crossover Ariya in the Russian market.
