The number of car loans issued in the 1st half of the year fell by 18%


Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" have already reported about the drop in sales of new cars (passenger cars and LCVs) in Russia by 23% at the end of the first half of 2020. At the same time, it occurs against the background of a decrease in the issuance of car loans. So, according to the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH), from January to June in our country, 364 thousand car loans were issued (for new and used cars). This is lower by 18% than in the 1st half of 2019.

In terms of the volume of issued car loans for the reporting period, Moscow is the leader (35.8 thousand units), followed by St. Petersburg (20.7 thousand units) and the Moscow region (20 thousand units). At the same time, in these subjects of the Russian Federation, a decrease in the issuance of car loans by more than 23% was noted. Tatarstan (18.1 thousand units) and Bashkortostan (16.5 thousand units) are also in the TOP-5 of regions, but the number of issued car loans fell by less than 19%.
