    The experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" made a rating of the best-selling new cars in Russia in 2018. The leader of this rating was KIA Rio, which at the same time ranked the third in the list of the most popular models in the market as a whole.



LADA Granta: what are the customers preferences?


For the second year in a row, LADA Granta is the most popular car in the Russian market. So, in the first half of the year, sales of this model were almost 50 thousand units. The experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT decided to consider the consumer preferences regarding Granta.

More than a half (52%) of sold cars of this family belonged to sedans, and every third buyer has chosen a liftback (33%). Station wagons had 13% of sales structure, and there is a slight advantage in the direction of the Cross version (7%). But hatchbacks bought only 2%. 69% of all sold “Granta” are equipped with a 1.6-liter 8-valve engine with 87 HP. Accordingly, more “strong” (98 or 106 hp) 16-valve engines of the same volume were preferred by 31% of buyers. 92% of LADA Granta customers prefer a manual gearbox and only 8% prefer an automatic gearbox (AMT or Jatco).

The most “running" equipment in the Granta family is Comfort, the share of which is 37%. Classic is slightly behind (35%). The Standard version occupies 11% of the sales structure, Luxe - 10%. The #CLUB package was preferred by 6% of buyers. The share of other versions was about 1%.
