In three regions of Russia, the market of new cars in May showed the growth


Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" have already reported that in May of 2020, the market of new cars in our country fell by almost a half. The market decline affected almost all subjects of the Russian Federation, but there are those where the car market has shown the positive dynamics.

According to agency experts, only in three Far Eastern regions, the market growth was observed in May. The highest rate was recorded in the Jewish Autonomous Region - last month, local residents bought more new cars by 18% than in May of 2019. Two more regions that turned out to be “in the black” are the Sakhalin (+ 9%) and Amur (+ 7%) regions.

In other regions of the Russian Federation, the market of new cars in the previous month of spring showed a negative trend. Moreover, only in Buryatia it fell by 5%, while in other regions the market decline turned out to be double-digit. The market “sank” most strongly in Chechnya (-78%). The market also lost more than 60% in Dagestan, Moscow Region and Moscow.
