Mazda reduced the sales by 61% in Russia in May

Russian Mazda dealers sold 912 cars in May – lower by 61% than a year before. According to the results of five months of 2020, brand sales in our country reached 9,236 cars, which is lower by 17% than the figure for the same period of the previous year. As a result, Mazda's market share was 1.9% versus 1.7% a year before, according to AEB.

Mazda's bestseller is the CX-5 crossover, sales of which were 876 cars in May (-39%). As a result, it entered the TOP-25 of the best-selling models in the Russian market, analysts of the AUTOSTAT agency noted. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Mazda Sollers plant in Vladivostok, which since April 27th suspended the production of cars in connection with the modernization of the production line, resumed the work at the end of May. To date, the company produces three models: Mazda CX-9 and Mazda CX-5 crossovers, as well as Mazda6 sedan.
