Geely revealed the details of the new Atlas Pro for Russia


Geely plans to begin the sales of Geely Atlas Pro crossover in Russia in the second quarter of 2021. Production of the model will be launched at the BelZi Belarusian plant, which will permit to set an adequate price for the new product. This was told by the manager of the representative office of Geely Motors product and certification, Maxim Ivanov. According to him, Atlas Pro will receive an electric engine on the rear axle - a new all-wheel drive technology for Geely.

According to the portal "Chinese Cars", GeelyAtlasPro has already received VTA, which provides a single engine - a "turbo-engine" 1.5 of 177 HP, developing a torque of 255 Nm in the range from 1500 to 4000 revolutions. It can be combined with a 6-speed Aisin “automatic”, a 6-speed Getrag mechanics or a 7-band Ningbo “robot” with two wet clutches. It is the latter will work in conjunction with all-wheel drive. In China, the vehicle also has a 1.8 turbo engine boosted to 184 HP. In terms of size, the vehicle is longer by 25 mm (4544 mm) than the regular Atlas and 19 mm (1713 mm) higher. The width and wheelbase remained the same - 1831 and 2670 mm. His pendants are independent, the front one is of MacPherson type, the rear one is spring, multi-link. Steering wheel has electric power, all braking mechanisms – disk one. There are two sizes for wheels: 225/65 R17 and 225/60 R18.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in the third quarter of 2020, Geely plans to bring the new FY11 coupe-crossover to Russia. At the same time, the novelty will enter the Russian market under a different name, which the company has not disclosed yet. At the initial stage, the FY11 will be delivered from China, but in the future, if there is demand and economic feasibility, the production of the model can be established at the Belji plant in Belarus.
