AvtoVAZ released the anniversary special version of LADA Vesta

AvtoVAZ started the sales of LADA Vesta SW in a special performance Limited Edition. The version is intended for the Belarusian market and released in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Volga Automobile Plant. The novelty differs from ordinary station wagons with special equipment, Motor.ru writes.

So, the list of basic equipment of the anniversary special edition of LADA Vesta includes two airbags, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, climate and cruise control, heated mirrors, power windows, a monochrome 4.3-inch display of the media system, stabilization system and ABS. A “special” station wagon will be offered with a non-alternative 106-horsepower 1.6 engine and a 5-speed “mechanics”. Due to the rejection of 16-inch alloy wheels in favor of “stampings”, the lack of heating of the windshield and fog lamps, Vesta SW Limited Edition costs 3210 Belarusian rubles (about 97 thousand Russian rubles) cheaper than the Vesta SW Comfort with a winter package.

An anniversary special version costs 24,200 Belarusian rubles (730 thousand Russian rubles). In Russia, prices for LADA Vesta SW will start from 715.9 thousand rubles. Comfort equipment with a winter package costs 779.9 thousand rubles, and the top version Exclusive with a CVT will cost 988.9 thousand rubles. Probably, the choice of the Belarusian market for the debut of the anniversary special version was made because the country has unlimited sales of cars due to coronavirus infection. However, the equipment of Vesta SW LimitedEdition with only the most necessary one and a low modification price suggest that variations of LADA models in honor of the 50th anniversary of AvtoVAZ will also appear in Russia - new items can go on sale after the end of the self-isolation mode.

According to the data obtained by the AUTOSTAT agency in the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA), LADA Vesta at the end of 2019 became the best-selling model in Belarus - 7,585 buyers have chosen it. AvtoVAZ, in turn, remains the sales leader in this republic with 16,281 sold cars (+ 55.3%).
