Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" have already reported about the growth (+ 16%) of the Russian market of new cars in the 1st quarter of 2020. At the same time, it happened against the background of an increase in issued car loans.

So, according to the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH), in January-March, 218.2 thousand car loans were issued in our country (for new and used cars). This is higher by 11.6% than for the same period of 2019, and it is a record number for the previous 7 years.

As the executive director of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, Sergey Udalov, noted, the car loans provide the significant support to the Russian car market and it is so, first of all, due to the action of state programs of preferential lending (“First / Family Car”).

Among the regions, Moscow is the leader in terms of the volume of purchased cars on credit - in the first three months of this year, 17.7 thousand car loans were issued to residents of the Russian capital, which is higher by 11.2% than a year ago. The TOP-5 by this indicator also included: St. Petersburg (13.2 thousand units; + 11.1%), Moscow region (13.1 thousand units; + 9.8%), Tatarstan (10,7 thousand units; + 7.9%) and Bashkortostan (9.4 thousand units; + 7.7%).
