    For the last year, 1 million 671.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is more by 13.3% than in the last year. At the same time, in December of 2018, sales of new cars were 158.3 thousand units, which is more by 3.9% than a year ago. As for crossovers and SUVs, their sales in January-December grew by 18.1% in compare with 2017 and they were 729.2 thousand cars. The segment's share in total sales grew by 1.7 percentage points and reached 43.6%.

Subaru increased sales by 58% in Russia in March

Russian Subaru dealers sold 839 cars in March – higher by 58% than a year before. By the results of three months of 2020, Subaru sales in our country reached 1,721 cars, which is higher by 6% than the figure for the same period of the previous year.

According to the press service of Subaru Motor, the most popular model of the brand remains the mid-size Forester crossover, sales of which in March grew 2 times and reached 661 units. The second place was taken by the compact crossover XV with 87 cars (-16%). Outback all-terrain wagon finished the top-three of Subaru best-sellers, sales of which reached 76 cars (-11%). According to the results of the previous month, Subaru Legacy business class sedan was sold in the amount of 15 units against 16 units of a year before.

As noted, the company “Subaru Motor” has an extensive dealer network throughout Russia, and this week in some cities of the country, depending on the level of complexity of the epidemiological situation, service stations were opened to work in limited mode. Service is carried out by appointment with strict observance of security measures and the recommended social distance, as well as with the written permission of city administrations.
