Russian Mercedes-Benz plant resumed the operation

Mercedes-Benz plant, closed in the first week of quarantine, located in the Esipovo industrial park near Moscow, resumed the work on April 6th. This was reported by the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, adding that all enterprises in the Moscow region can work, but they are required to comply with the requirements of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service given for the period of the pandemic.

Recall that the opening of the Mercedes-Benz plant took place in April of 2019, and at the end of May the mass production of E-Class sedans began in it. In the future, the production of GLE, GLC and GLS SUVs will be launched at the Russian Mercedes-Benz plant. The production capacity of the enterprise is more than 20 thousand cars per a year. The new Mercedes-Benz passenger car plant in the Moscow region covers all technological stages - from assembly-body production and painting to final assembly. The company created more than 1000 jobs.
