KAMAZ resumes the production from April 6th


From Monday, April 6th, a part of KAMAZ personnel goes to work. The decision was made by the general director of the company after consultations with the leadership of the republic and federal authorities, the press service of the enterprise informed.

Recall, on the basis of a decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the announcement of non-working days in the Russian Federation, KAMAZ suspended the car production from March 30th to April 3rd, 2020. The company’s staff has a long paid weekend, with the exception of the minimum number of employees engaged in work, the suspension of which is impossible due to the production and technical conditions.

At the same time, KAMAZ is aware that the situation with the spread of coronavirus as a whole continues to remain difficult and requires additional security measures in relation to the company's personnel. Being one of the first enterprises in the country to take serious preventive measures against a pandemic, KAMAZ strengthens them.

In addition to previously taken measures in the form of daily inspections of employees, disinfection of common areas and vehicles used to deliver workers, it will be organized the remote work of personnel in cases where it is permissible. A flexible schedule for the start of production and the deviating of employee flows entering the enterprise will be also introduced.

As previously reported, among the main scientific and technical goals of the company for the current year there is the preparation for the production of the heavy K5 family of vehicles, the development of a gas version of the KAMAZ R6 engine, the expansion of the range of K4 generation gas-fueled vehicles, the development of an electric bus with improved performance characteristics.

In addition, it is planned to develop a KAMAZ-54901 with a gas engine, Euro-6 engine, as well as a KAMAZ-54901 in a gas-diesel version and with a HighTech level of equipment. So, in 2020, KAMAZ plans to launch the mass production of new generation K5 vehicles. The first model of a promising lineup will be KAMAZ-54901 trunk tractor.

In the future, it is planned to launch the KAMAZ-6595 dump truck, which is adapted for work in the construction sector. Together with the new cab, KAMAZ vehicles of the new generation will receive a new inline six-cylinder engine P6. In 2019, the company began the mass production of engines of P6 family. The new line is designed to produce 12 thousand power units per a year.
