KAMAZ increased revenue and sales in 2019

KAMAZ PJSC published the results of its financial activities for 2019. The revenue of the association grew by 6% in compare with 2018 - up to 160.8 billion rubles. Sales of cars, spare parts, goods and services of the company grew both in the domestic and foreign markets.

At the same time, the amount of products and services sold on the domestic market reached 144.6 billion rubles (4% higher than in 2018), and 16.2 billion rubles on the external market (+ 28% in compare with the previous year). The overall value of current and non-current assets also speaks of a stable position of PJSC: by the end of 2019, it increased by almost 9.5 billion rubles and reached about 189.4 billion rubles.

According to the company’s press service, “the general difficult situation in the Russian market in the segment of commercial vehicles, as well as the company's investment cycle related to the launch of a new generation of K5 cars, caused a negative aggregate result, improved by a half of billion rubles in compare with the first half of the year. As a result, by the end of the reporting period, the company managed to reduce its net loss to 1 billion 517 million rubles (YOY basis - net profit of 27 million 179 thousand rubles)”.

Despite this difficult market situation, KAMAZ continued to work on the quality improving, improving the consumer properties of its products and developing the lineup. A new cab frame plant was opened, the production of a new family of in-line 6-cylinder engines continued to develop, KAMAZ specialists mastered the investments made in the development of unmanned technologies, and developed areas related to the production of gas-filled vehicles and buses.

As another promising area, which has already begun to work out the invested funds in it, we can also name the project of electric buses. Electric-powered buses assembled at KAMAZ passed the tests in Moscow and since then the company has already concluded three contracts with Mosgortrans for their supply. In general, the company's investments in 2019 reached more than 12.5 billion rubles.
