Sollers does not exclude the production shutdown due to risks in the industry

Sollers Group currently does not see threats for the production activities due to a shortage of components. The assembly is carried out in the normal mode, the AUTOSTAT agency was informed by the Sollers press service. “However, in the future it is impossible to exclude changes in the situation due to emerging risks. A sharp drop in demand for cars (primarily from individuals) and a lack of capacity utilization are quite capable of becoming a reason for stopping the production,” - Sollers press service informed.

Currently, factory stocks are fully provided with components, there are no interruptions in supply. Nevertheless, the company continues to monitor closely the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection. And in case of risks, we are ready to consider options with alternative suppliers. “In the context of the epidemic, we are also taking all the necessary preventive sanitary measures to ensure the safety of our employees.

In particular, UAZ, like all enterprises of the Sollers group (ZMZ, Ford Sollers and Mazda Sollers), has a strict anti-epidemic regime. Canceled all business trips and mass events; production communication is maximally transferred to the remote format, and health services - to an enhanced mode of operation. Currently, lists of office employees are being determined, which can be transferred to a temporary remote mode of operation without loss of efficiency. This will not affect the assembly of cars,” - Sollers press service informed.
