Russian Nissan dealers sold 5,725 cars in February – lower by 7% than a year before. According to the results of the first two months of 2020, 10,663 Nissan cars were sold in Russia, which is lower by 4% than the figure for the same period of the previous year.

As a result, Nissan is the eighth one by sales among all automakers in Russia, and the brand's market share was 4.9% versus 5.1% a year before, according to AEB. Nissan's bestseller in the Russian market was Nissan Qashqai crossover in February, sales of which grew by 26% and reached 2,608 units. Nissan X-Trail is the second one with 1,986 sold vehicles, which is lower by 14% than a year before. Meanwhile, Nissan fixed a significant increase in demand for top-end configurations of these models.

Customers are particularly interested in versions with LED Bi-LED headlights, driver assistance systems and Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies. Sales of cars in complete sets with the Yandex.Auto multimedia system also increased. Recall that in March of 2020 it became known that Nissan plant in St. Petersburg will switch to one shift in a few months due to a decrease in demand in the Russian car market. At the same time, the company notes that the Russian market remains a priority for Nissan, and that the plant’s capabilities will allow it to return to the two-shift schedule as soon as the market situation improves.
