    Experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT have already reported that the average age of cars in Russia is 13.4 years (as of July 1st, 2019). However, depending on the federal district, this indicator differs markedly.

6.3 thousand electric vehicles are registered in Russia

According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", as of January 1st, 2020, in our country there were 6.3 thousand electric vehicles. According to agency experts, this represents only 0.014% of the total fleet of cars in the Russian Federation.

The lion's share (83%) of all electric cars in Russia is represented by one model – Nissan Leaf. At the beginning of this year, slightly more than 5.2 thousand units of this model were registered. Tesla electric cars are registered in the amount of 410 units, among which 233 units are Model S, 155 units are Model X and 22 units are Model 3. Also, Russians are the owners of 328 Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric cars and 139 - Jaguar I-Pace.

The remaining electric cars are registered in the amount of less than a hundred units: LADA Ellada - 96, Renault Twizy - 38, BMW i3 - 37, Hyundai Ioniq - 3 and Peugeot Ion - 3. A quarter of all electric cars in the country are “registered” in the Primorsky Territory and Irkutsk Region (980 and 657 units, respectively).

Moscow is only the third one by this indicator - as of January 1st, there were 594 electric passenger cars in the Russian capital. Khabarovsk (477 units) and Krasnodar (462 units) territories are also in the top-5 of largest regional fleets of such vehicles.
