Russian Haval plant produced 6 thousand vehicles in 2019

Russian Haval plant, which was opened in May of 2019, produced 5,972 vehicles by the end of the year. This was reported to the agency "AUTOSTAT" in the press service of "Haval Motor Rus", by adding that the company is currently working in one shift.

Recall that Haval F7 crossover was the first car in the conveyor of the Tula enterprise, which became the most mass-produced Russian-made Haval model with 5,008 vehicles in the previous year. In October of the previous year, Russian Haval plant also began the production of the Haval F7x coupe-crossover and the Haval H9 frame SUV, the production of which reached 808 and 156 vehicles, respectively.

In 2020, it is planned to launch new brand models, among which, according to unofficial data, there is the Haval H5 SUV, which was previously produced in Russia under the name Great Wall Hover 5 and DW Hower H5.

Recall that the construction of the Haval plant with an area of 2.16 million square meters (216 hectares) began in the autumn of 2015 at the Uzlovaya industrial park in the Tula Region. The total investment in the project reached about 500 million US dollars.

At the first stage, the production capacity of the enterprise is 80 thousand vehicles per a year, and the total number of employees will be up to 1000 people. The logistics capabilities of the Haval plant make it possible to cover not only the Russian market, but also supply vehicles to such neighboring countries, as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
