    Experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT have already reported that the average age of cars in Russia is 13.4 years (as of July 1st, 2019). However, depending on the federal district, this indicator differs markedly.



The market of new trucks grew by 19% in January


In the first month of 2020, the market of new trucks in Russia continued to show the growth, which began in December of the previous year. So, according to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, in January the volume of this market was 6.1 thousand units, which is higher by 18.6% than in January of 2019.

The first line of the rating here is traditionally occupied by the domestic brand KAMAZ, the share of which reached more than 30% of the total in November of 2019. In quantitative terms, this corresponds to 1.9 thousand units, which is 3.3% higher than the result of January’19.

The second line is occupied as usual by another domestic manufacturer - GAZ. Its market size is significantly lower than KAMAZ has, but it is growing faster (+ 18% to 615 units). Swedish Volvo brand follows (494 units; + 69.8%).

In addition to them, German MAN (412 units; + 42.6%) and Mercedes-Benz (369 units; + 60.4%) were also among the top-5 of leading brands in the cargo segment.
