The share of sales of cars with automatic transmission in the Russian Federation reached almost 60%

According to the evaluation of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, by the results of 2019, 970 thousand new cars equipped with automatic transmission (AT) were sold in Russia. This is higher by 3% than in 2018.

According to the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", sales of vehicles with AT in our country are growing amid the falling of the market (-2.3%). As a result, their share grew from 56.3% to 59.4% for the year. We also add that the market share of passenger cars with AT in Russia has been growing for the fourth year in a row and exceeds 50%. At the same time, we attribute classic “automatic transmissions” as well as “robots”, CVTs, etc. to the automatic transmission.
