Sales of "certified" used cars grew by 22% in the Russian Federation

Experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT have already reported about an increase in sales of used cars through official dealers in 2019. Meanwhile, there are other facts testifying the successful development of this area.

So,according to the agency, last year almost 250 thousand cars of the so-called“specialized brands” were sold (it’s mean, that dealer is official representatives and partners of brand). This is 8% more than in 2018, but,on the other hand, their share in the sales structure of all used cars sold through dealerships, decreased from 40% to 36%.

But the segment of used "specialized" cars that are sold under the official programs of manufacturers (the so-called "certified" cars) showed much greater dynamics. For the whole 2019, about 62.5 thousand units were sold, in compare with 51 thousand units of a year before – the sales growth was 22%.
