What models are the best selling in the SUV subsegments in the Russian Federation?


In 2019, the market of used LCV showed a slight drop


According to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, in 2019 the market volume of used light commercial vehicles reached 405.7 thousand units in Russia. This is 1.4% lower than in 2018. The leadership belongs to the domestic brand GAZ, which has more than 40% of the market. Last year, its resale volumes reached 163.8 thousand units, which is lower by 1.7% than in 2018. Repeated sales of another Russian brand - UAZ - fell by 4.3%. It is the second one with 40.4 thousand sold vehicles.

The best brand among foreign ones was Volkswagen, which showed the minimal growth (+ 0.1%). During the year, 24.7 thousand of such vehicles were resold. Toyota and Ford were the fourth and fifth ones with 23.9 thousand (-3.6%) and 21.2 thousand (+ 3.7%) units, respectively. In the model structure of this market, the championship belongs to GAZ 3302. In the previous year, the volume of resale of these vehicles reached 91.1 thousand units (-4.7%).

The largest secondary markets of light commercial vehicles were in Moscow and the Moscow Region in 2019 (the market shares were 6.9% and 6.5%, respectively). Among the non-capital regions, LCV resales were the most active in the Krasnodar Territory, the share of which was more than 5% of the total market of used light commercial vehicles.
