Skoda introduced a new crossover that is shorter than Karoq

Skoda has introduced a prototype of the new VisionIn compact crossover, the production version of which will be designed for emerging markets. The car premiered at an auto show in Indian New Delhi, Autonews.ru reports.

The length of the concept car was 4256 mm, which is 126 mm shorter than the Karoq model, and the size of the wheelbase is 2671 mm. The crossover was based on an architecture called MQB-A0-IN - an upgraded version of the modular platform MQB-A0 for the "younger" models of the Volkswagen concern.

The external distinguishing features of the crossover are a massive radiator closer with vertical slats, narrow LED headlights and 19-inch aluminum rims. Inside, there is a fully digital dashboard, a separate multimedia display, a touchpad for controlling vehicle functions and an electronic gear selector.

Skoda VisionIn is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline supercharged engine producing 150 hp. The serial production of the new compact crossover Skoda starts in India in early 2021. It was not announced yet whether the model would reach other countries.
