05 julymore infoSpecialists of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" together with the publishing house "Za Rulem" decided to find out which type of transport was the most often chosen for travel this summer by the inhabitants of our country and what the lovers of the velvet season will choose, whose vacation is scheduled for the end of summer or early autumn.
According to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, in 2019, diesel versions of new passenger cars of the mass segment reached only 5% of the total Russian market. A year before, this indicator was 5.3%.
Among mass brands, the largest market share of diesel cars is belonged to Peugeot - 41%. At the same time, in 2018 it was equal to 29%. At another French brand - Citroen - the share of "diesel" also grew for the year - from 20% to 35%.
But the share of sales of Japanese Toyota and Mitsubishi cars with diesel engines, on the contrary, decreased: if in 2018 it was 24%, now it is 22%. Moreover, Toyota most of all in Russia sells diesel cars. Also we should note that a number of brands of the mass segment have the share of "diesel" less than 10% of total sales.
