Ford recalls 125 Transit vans in Russia

Ford Sollers Yelabuga has announced the recall of 125 Ford Transit vans manufactured from June 25th to November 29th, 2019. The reason for the recall of vehicles is the overlapping of the rear lights when folding the tailgate by more than 50%, as well as the absence of a sticker warning about this, the press service of Rosstandart reports. On vehicles, the dealer will install a warning sticker on the tailgate. All work will be free of charge for owners.

Recall, in September of the previous year, the Ford Sollers Yelabuga plant began the production of the updated Ford Transit. The car received updated seats, a new color palette of exterior and interior trim. The supporting structure of the body, door locks were also modernized, which led to an additional strengthening of the body.

The range of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis; vehicles are available for order with three options of base length, two options of roof height and all types of drive, including all-wheel drive. To date, the full range of special versions of vehicles based on Ford Transit has more than 55 different variants of special and social purpose vehicles. All Ford Transit vehicles are equipped with 2.2 liter turbo diesel engines (125-155 HP).

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Russian Ford dealers increased sales of Ford Transit family light commercial vehicles by 4% in 2019, by selling 12,589 of these vehicles. As a result, Ford Transit remains the market leader of light commercial vehicles among foreign brands.
