Russian sales of Nissan Qashqai grew by 9% in 2019

Russian Nissan dealers sold 64,974 cars in 2019 - 20% lower than a year before. As a result, Nissan ranked the eighth in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the brand share was 3.7%, according to AEB. Nissan Qashqai crossover, sales of which grew by 8.5% to 25,158 units, remained the best seller of Nissan in the Russian market in the previous year.

As a result, Nissan Qashqai entered the TOP-25 of the best-selling models in the Russian market, analysts of the AUTOSTAT agency noted. Recall that in April of the previous year, Russian dealers of Nissan began the sales of the updated crossover Qashqai, the production of which was established at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.

Nissan X-Trail is the second one in terms of sales with 20,915 sold vehicles, which is 8.6% lower than a year before. Meanwhile, in 2019, Nissan stopped the delivery of a compact Juke crossover and a GT-R supercar to Russia. In addition, dealers of the brand completed the sales of Almera sedans, the production of which was discontinued in Russia in October of 2018.
