    For the last year, 1 million 671.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is more by 13.3% than in the last year. At the same time, in December of 2018, sales of new cars were 158.3 thousand units, which is more by 3.9% than a year ago. As for crossovers and SUVs, their sales in January-December grew by 18.1% in compare with 2017 and they were 729.2 thousand cars. The segment's share in total sales grew by 1.7 percentage points and reached 43.6%.

Italian car market continued to rise in November

The Italian car market grew by 2.2% and reached 150,587 cars in November. According to the results of 11 months of 2019, car sales fell by 0.6% and reached 1 million 775 thousand 884 units in Italy. As noted by the Italian Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ANFIA), despite the growth in sales for the last three months, by the results of the year, the country's car market may reach about 1.9 million cars, which is lower than the results of 2018 and 2017.

According to data obtained by the AUTOSTAT agency in the Italian Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ANFIA), Fiat remains the best-selling car brand in Italy, with 21,773 sold cars in November (-1.6%). Volkswagen is the second one; its sales grew by 5% and reached 14,022 units. Ford is the third one with 9,996 sold cars (+ 8.2%). Renault (8472 units; + 4.4%) and Peugeot (8021 units; -8.2%) finish the top 5.
