The SUV segment remains the largest in the Russian market with a share of more than 43%. So, according to the assessment of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, by the results of 9 months of 2019, 516.6 thousand new crossovers and SUVs were sold in our country.

The sales leader in the SUV segment is kept by the Korean Hyundai brand, which sold 76.2 thousand of such cars during the reporting period. French Renault is the second one by this indicator (53.6 thousand units). Japanese Nissan finishes the top 3, the result of which was 47.2 thousand units. Toyota and KIA follow (43 thousand and 37.9 thousand units, respectively). In addition to them, the TOP-10 brands by sales of new crossovers and SUVs in Russia from January to September also included: Volkswagen (31.4 thousand units), Mitsubishi (27.5 thousand units), LADA (23.5 thousand units), BMW (18.1 thousand units) and Skoda (17.5 thousand units).
