Hyundai-Kia is planning to increases its sales up to 7 million cars in 2012

Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Co. and its affiliated company Kia Motors Corp. are planning to increase the sales level up to 7 million cars. The partners are planning to sell 6.5 million cars in the world market this year.

According to Auto.Vesti.Ru, South Korean alliance Hyundai-Kia is on the fifth place in the world carmakers’ sales rating. The company managed to keep dynamics even during the crisis, having taken its Japanese and American competitors’ market shares due to its affordable models.

Meanwhile, Hyundai-Kia managers believe that the dynamics will not be that high next year due to the limited production capacities. “We are planning to sell 7 million cars next year. In order to fulfill this plan, our plants will have to operate at their full capacity”,- Hyundai president Chung Jin-Hang.

“We think that our Japanese competitors will start aggressive sales policy in the USA after their production comes back to normal in the last quarter of the year. We will continue strategy of small stock resources and will focus on the quality improvement. We are sure that the Sonata and the Elantra are ahead of the new Toyota Camry and the Honda Civic in terms of competitiveness. We think that we will sell over 4 million cars this year”,-Lee Won-Hee Hyundai financial director said.
