The market of new trucks grew by 5% in October

According to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, the market volume of new trucks reached 8.1 thousand units in Russia in October 2019, which is 5.3% higher than the previous year. The leadership in the truck market is traditionally held by the domestic KAMAZ brand, the share of which was a third of the total volume in the previous month.

In quantitative terms, this corresponds to 2.7 thousand units, which is 15.4% higher than the result of September of 2018. Another domestic manufacturer GAZ is the second one, with a big lag behind the leader, its market volume grew by 9.5% to 852 units. Two German brands follow - MAN (557 units; + 14.6%) and Mercedes-Benz (533 units; + 21.7%). In addition to them, Swedish Volvo (494 units; -22.8%) was also among the top-5 leading brands in the cargo segment.

According to experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, for the period from January to October 2019, the market of new trucks is still in the red. During this time, its volume reached 63 thousand units, which is 2.5% lower than the result of a year ago.
