Russian used car market grew by 2% in October


According to the data of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, the market volume of used cars in Russia in October 2019 reached 526.7 thousand units, which is 2.1% higher than the previous year.

The domestic brand LADA has a quarter of the Russian market of used cars. So, the volume of repeated sales of VAZ cars was equal to 131.5 thousand units in the previous month - 0.8% lower than in October of 2018. Further in the brand rating there are traditionally Japanese Toyota and Nissan, the volume of secondary markets of which was 57.8 and 29.3 thousand cars, respectively.

At the same time, both brands showed the positive dynamics in October (+ 3.4% and + 4%, respectively). Two Korean brands finish the top five - Hyundai (28.5 thousand units; + 9%) and KIA (26.5 thousand units; + 12.2%).

Experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT noted that according to the results of 10 months of 2019, the market volume of used passenger cars reached about 4.5 million units. This practically corresponds to (-0.1%) the indicator of January - October of the previous year.
