    As experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT have established, in Russia the ratio between sales of new and used cars is 1: 3.3. In other words, there are 10 used cars per 3 purchased new cars this year.



What cars do Muscovites drive? TOP-10 of cars


Moscow still has the largest fleet in the country. So, according to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, there are 3.7 million cars in the Russian capital (as of July 1st, 2019). This is 8.4% of the total fleet of the Russian Federation.

The most common model in Moscow is Hyundai Solaris - as of the middle of the year, 87.8 thousand units of this model were registered there. Ford Focus (83.7 thousand units) is the second one, and KIA Rio finishes the top-3 (80.1 thousand units). Then there are two more foreign cars in the ranking – Skoda Octavia (72.9 thousand units) and Volkswagen Polo (63.1 thousand units). They are followed by two domestic models - LADA 2107 sedans (56 thousand units) and LADA 2106 (54.4 thousand units). Nissan X-Trail took the eighth position with an indicator of 52 thousand registered cars; LADA 2105 is the ninth (49.8 thousand units). But the tenth line of the metropolitan fleet was divided between Toyota Camry and LADA 2104, the results of which were equal (47.9 thousand units).
