Mercedes-Benz electric cars will be brought to Russia


A document confirming the certification of the Mercedes-Benz EQC electric crossover for the Russian market has appeared in the Rosstandart database. Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) is issued for the four-wheel drive EQC 400 model with two engines with a total capacity of 408 hp and 80 kWh lithium-ion battery.

According to the manufacturer’s technical specifications, the car can go 450 km without recharging. A year ago, for the first time showing electric cross to the public in Stockholm, brand representatives, speaking about its technical characteristics, mentioned that the car is equipped with an integrated 7.4 kW water-cooled charger for household power, as well as the possibility of replenishing it energy reserve using the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox device (in this case, charging is 3 times faster).

On the manufacturer’s website, it is reported that in the new Mercedes-Benz Wallbox Advanced and Twin devices, the charging process, charging statistics, and cost-effective charging are controlled via a smartphone.
