After a 1.5-year break, the Ravon brand returned to the Russian market with three models - R2, Nexia R3 and R4. Already this year in Russia it is planned to sell 7 thousand Ravon cars, next year - 34 thousand cars.

At the same time, the brand share in the Russian market should grow to 2%. Moreover, Ravon is considering the possibility of organizing the assembly production in our country and is now negotiating actively with potential partners.

According to Alexander Zakharov, Head of Key Accounts at AvtoSpetsTsentr Group of Companies, during the absence in the market, the Uzbek brand reduced the number of presented models and raised prices by more than 150 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the Ravon R2, Nexia R3 and R4 models lose to their competitors in the segment, such as LADA Granta, Datsun on-DO, etc., not only in price, but also in technological terms.

In turn, the marketing director of United Automobile Corporation - RRT, Sergei Novoselsky, believes that Ravon has practically no chances with the declared model line and pricing policy. After all, the brand will have to play on the same field not only with Datsun and LADA, but also with KIA and Hyundai, which, cost more by about 10%, but they are higher in terms of design and technology.

In the case of localization of the Ravon assembly in Russia, if the manufacturer can reduce the price of its current product by at least 20 percent, then we can talk about achieving the goal of 1.3 - 1.5% of the market share.

“In addition, Ravon has a certain image that would be useful to correct: most buyers believe that this is a “Chinese” brand and the attitude towards it is appropriate. But this, of course, is not so: Ravon cars are produced at the GM plant in Uzbekistan and are analogues of the ChevroletSpark, ChevroletAveo and ChevroletCobalt models, ” - says the head of sales at “AVILON.Volkswagen”, Maxim Vasiliev.
