Kazakhstan auto industry has grown almost 1.5 times since the beginning of the year


By the results of 9 months of 2019, 33.5 thousand vehicles of all types were produced in Kazakhstan, which is 47.5% higher than in January-September of the previous year. According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), passenger cars continue to provide the main volume - 29,846 units (+ 41.2%), however, their share in the total production volume for the year fell from 93% to 89.1%.

The output of commercial vehicles has grown markedly: trucks - 2,5 times - up to 2133 vehicles (+ 166%), production of buses increased 3,5 times - 848 units (+ 267%). It also produced 613 trailers and semi-trailers (+ 58%) and 60 units of other specialized equipment. SaryarkaAvtoProm has 50% of all produced vehicles.

This year, the Kostanay plant doubled its production to 16,442 cars, trucks and buses. According to preliminary data, at Asia Auto, the production growth was lower than 10% to 14,358 cars. SemAZ produced 831 units of commercial vehicles (+ 303%), Kokshetau KAMAZ Engineering produced 668 trucks (+ 52%), the Semipalatinsk Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan produced 230 buses (+ 117%), Almaty Hyundai TransAuto produced 208 vehicles (+ 11%).

As noted, sales of cars localized in Kazakhstan are growing much faster than the market. Eight of ten of the best-selling cars are produced in the republic. In 2019, the monthly share of domestic cars did not fall below 50%. Demand for "Made in Kazakhstan" vehicles grew from 49% in 2018 to 58% in 2019. This year, Saryarka AvtoProm, became the leader of the Kazakhstan car industry, as well as it remains the only export-oriented enterprise in the country's automotive industry.

The company develops the Russian market, sends cars to Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. Since the beginning of the year, 1243 JAC, Hyundai and Ravon vehicles have been exported.
